The first edition of the BENELink Symposium will be held in Antwerp (Belgium) on the 19th
October 2024 and will provide an unique opportunity for scientists in the Benelux area to promote scientific collaboration and knowledge exchange.

BENELink is a novel initiative to enhance scientific collaboration and knowledge exchange
between countries. Held on October 19th, 2024 in Antwerp (Belgium), this first edition will gather scientists resident in the Benelux area in Antwerp (Belgium), on October 19th, 2024.

Hot scientific topics will be addressed from a transversal and translational point of view,
thanks to a broad panel of renowned international experts. Organized by the associations of Spanish Scientists in Belgium (CEBE) and the Netherlands (CENL), BENELink seeks to build bridges by linking communities and areas of Science. In this first meeting, entitled “What Can We Learn from Each Other?”, BENELink will approach the interplay of cutting-edge research and its societal impact on a broad range of current topics, from biotechnology to artificial intelligence. Through an extensive program of lectures and panel discussions, it will explore how breakthroughs in these areas overcome societal limitations besides fueling innovation. BENELink will also showcase the key role of science diplomacy in accelerating research and development.

By promoting dialogue and partnerships between Spain and the Benelux region, the event aims to identify collaborative opportunities, exchange successful strategies, and set the ground for cross-border scientific projects, for both leading experts and early career scientists.
Join us on October 19th and be part of meaningful discussions, share insights with a thriving community and expand your network at BENELink!

This event is promoted by the Network of Associations of Spanish Researchers and Scientists
Abroad (RAICEX) and is supported by the Fundación Ramón Areces and the Culture and Science Section from the Spanish Embassy in Belgium.
